The Parent Information and Resource Center (PIRC) shares responsibility for Ohio children’s academic achievement and childhood development by empowering parents and families with training, information and resources. Additional information is available by contacting: Ohio PIRC, 2400 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. The phone number is 1-888-647-4729.
You may request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s classroom teachers, including: If the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade level and subject areas taught; If the teacher is teaching under emergency or temporary status in which State qualifications or licensing criteria are waived; The teacher's baccalaureate degree major, graduate certification, and field of discipline; and whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so, their qualifications.
Currently all of the teachers in our district have college degrees with most possessing Masters degrees. All of our schools are staffed by fully trained and dedicated teachers. In the event that your child has been assigned to be taught, or has been taught for four or more consecutive weeks, by a teacher who has not met the Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) requirements, we will notify you.
