Stop by Rodman Public Library through May 17 to see some of our talented Kindergartners' artwork based off the book "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" by Mo Willems!
Before reading, the classes talked about what authors and illustrators do. Madison Bialota, the art teacher at Alliance Early Learning School, explained how Mo Willems is both. Throughout some of the book, the students figured out what the pigeon might be thinking just from looking at the illustrations that didn't have words to go along with them.
Afterwards, they created a watercolor drawing and added neon paint for the backgrounds! Great job, AELS! #RepthatA

For the 3rd nine weeks, students at Alliance Early Learning School focused on the behavior expectation "Give Your Best Effort." Each homeroom chose one student who best exemplified that expectation to take part in a donut party with the principals!
We are so proud of the hard work the students in kindergarten and first grade have put in to learning all three behavior expectations - be kind, give your best effort and be a good role model - to make our school building a fun and safe place to learn! #RepthatA

The kindergarten classes at Alliance Early Learning School recently finished their community helpers unit, which allowed them to learn about all kids of different jobs and careers! They had the opportunity to hear from a guest speakers from many different career fields.
One of the guest speakers was Abbey Blake, the Jobs for Ohio Graduates (JOG) teacher at Alliance High School. Mrs. Blake, along with two of her students spoke with the kids about the importance of making good first impressions and about how JOG helps to teach the AHS students important job-related skills.
Exposing our young Aviators to a variety of career fields helps them to learn what their interests are and what careers they may want when they grow up! The sky's the limit for our Aviators! ✈️ #RepthatA
